Using Your Demountable Wall System to Increase Organization

demountable wall system

There are a number of reasons to use demountable wall systems. But did you know that one of those reasons is to actually clear clutter from the workspace? With a number of features and attachments, your demountable wall system can be used to help your employees stay organized, provide storage space, and increase overall efficiency.

Here are some ways demountable wall system can help with organization:

Switch out the Surfaces

One of the wonderful aspects of a demountable wall system is that panels can be easily switched out. Replacing a plain wall with a whiteboard, corkboard, or acoustic material designed to be ‘tackable’, can give you a large, built-in work surface for notes, calendars, and brainstorming.

Mount the Monitor

Many demountable wall systems have panels with built-in adjustable monitor mounts. While modern monitors might not be as big of ‘space hogs’ as the old-fashioned CRT monitors, they still take up a fair amount of real estate that can be not only freed up, but made more ergonomic by mounting it on a wall.

Such ‘Hutch’

Hutches, or small storage cabinets usually kept high, can be attached above the work area to provide extra storage for items that the worker doesn’t need to access often, such as extra office supplies, or documents such as manuals or procedure guides that don’t need to be accessed often but should be kept on-hand.

Shelving Units

Using a shelving mount, you can give your employees an area to display personal effects such as photographs or decorative items, without cluttering the workspace.

Shelves are also useful for positions that require frequently-accessed literature, such as reference books, style guidelines, and important client files that might otherwise accumulate on the desk.

Hooks and Pouches

In addition to shelf storage, demountable wall systems can be used to get even more storage. Hooks for jackets, bags, and purses can look quite a bit neater than having the employees drape them over the back of a chair, and ensures that bulkier winter coats do not interfere with the ergonomics of the chair, or that longer jackets don’t get caught in the wheels.

Pouches can also be installed to suit a number of uses, including ‘inbox/outbox’-style document files, or storage for trade tools, office supplies, and more.
